USCCA Instructor Certification Course Information

Phase I
eLearning course MUST be completed two (2) weeks prior to class start date. This offers you an opportunity to become familiar with the course material prior to required classroom instruction. Once you are complete with the online training, please send confirmation to sales@wpsaservices.com.
Phase II
USCCA Instructor Training Course.
Classroom Instruction and Live Fire phase.
- Each Instructor Candidate will demonstrate a portion of several slides from each of chapters, and each peer candidate will have the opportunity to offer positive suggestions towards one another’s performances.
- Lessons will include using a Virtual Range which is the SIRT pistols in the classrooms with fellow instructor candidates playing scenarios as basic handgun students. Instructor candidates will be required to identify and correct deficiencies in their students
USCCA will provide:
Initially you will receive the eLearning Course from USCCA to get started. After the classroom portion, you will receive access to the Instructor Web-Portal and be sent the Instructor Tool Kit which Includes – 235 slide PowerPoint Presentation, (10) Conceal Carry and Home Defense Manuals, 14 critical Classroom Videos and classroom posters, Conceal Carry Magazines, Official Instructor Apparel and more!
We will provide:
- Classroom, the shooting Range, and the Training Counselor for the class.
- Condensed Course Instructors Manual
- Beverages and Snacks
You will bring:
- Eye’s and Ear’s Protection (electronic ears preferred)
- Your Firearm
- (1) Box of 50 Rounds your caliber ammunition
- Brimmed hat (ballcap is fine)
The course is held at the Sydney Paul Gordon Shooting Range in La Luz. All range fees are paid by Wolf Pack Security and Apparel so you do not need to be a member to attend.
Live Fire Qualification:
The Center Mass is 11.5” wide X 17.5” high.
The Silhouette is 21” wide X 34” High
- Stage 1 4 yards 15 rounds
- Stage 2 7 yards 15 rounds
- Stage 3 10 yards 10 rounds
- Stage 4 15 yards 10 rounds
Qualifying Score = 80%, hits are scored as within the target area or on the line
Each student will get 2 attempts at the course of fire (50 rounds each).
Schedule:
Time: 9:00 am thru 5:00 pm each day
First day is classroom work only and the second day is Range in the morning followed by classroom.
Questions:
One question that keeps coming up is – does NM accept USCCA for CCW Instructor license purposes? The answer is yes. It is not a blanket acceptance, so each instructor will have to submit a syllabus that basically states you are following USCCA courseware and that is acceptable to NM DPS. You will also need to buy instructor firearms insurance before registering with the state. I will be happy to assist with the process if you would like to apply. If you need more experiance, we can discuss ways to work on that as well.
